Notes much soiled, defaced or torn should not be issued to the public. Such notes unfit for re-issue should be sent by Treasury Officer to the :

Security Press where currency notes are printed

Should be destroyed under proper Supervision

Issue Department of RBI or the treasury named by currency officer
