For opening fixed deposit account in a Treasury is personnel attendance of the depositor compulsory ?

Yes. But only in cases of deposits exceeding Rs. One Lakh

Yes. Personnel attendance of depositors is compulsory

Exemption for personnel attendance can be allowed by the Director

Not compulsory under the rules. Application along with specimen signature should be furnished in the prescribed form
