What is meant by e-treasury chalan receipt for remittances

It is a remittance made without physical handling of cash

Remittances made through on-line

Remittances made without appearing in person at the Treasury

Under the system the remitter makes cash payment at Treasury counters against a duly filled up pay slip form. The treasury after checking it and cash, will issue a chalan for this remittance which is known as e-Treasury chalan
