Apes are intelligent and fascinating primates found in different parts of the world. There are main types of apes: gorillas, chimpanzees, orangutans, and gibbons. Gorillas are the largest and they live in the forests of Africa. They are very strong but gentle and live in family groups. They mostly eat plants and care deeply for their young. Chimpanzees, who share about 98% of their DNA with humans, are very smart and social. They use tools to find food and communicate with sounds and gestures. They live in large groups and are playful and curious

Orangutans have long arms and reddish-brown hair and live in the rainforests of Bonco and Sumatra. They spend most of their time in trees, building nests and cating fruits and leaves. Unlike other apes, they prefer to live alone. Gibbons are the smallest apes and are very quick and agile. They swing easily from tree to tree using their long arms and make loud, beautiful calls to communicate. They live in small family groups and stay with on with one mate for life.
